Masonic Homes

Giving is just one of the many qualities Masonic Homes of Northern Tasmania prides itself in – and now it is giving back to its staff as well. At our two homes, the Masonic Peace Haven at Norwood and the Fred French Masonic Home at Newstead, all staff received training in customer service, communication and leadership with High Performance and this training contributes in part to the staff’s chosen qualification. The High Performance program is an ongoing commitment into the future of our staff to ultimately benefit our residents living within our organisation.

The benefits have been endless. We have gained skilled workers, which benefits our staff and our residents, with our staff being able to either master their craft and strengthen their skills further not only for the Masonic homes but also for themselves.  The traineeships encourage more employment opportunities and appeal to the younger generations wishing to take on an apprenticeship.  Our staff have definitely gained a more positive attitude towards work as the courses are aimed to benefit them.

Optia has used High Performance for a variety of training options state-wide, and we have been impressed with the efforts they have gone to customise training while considering cost and flexibility in delivery.  Their consultants provide an excellent support service which includes a follow up meeting at the conclusion of the training.
